The Tyrant King was not always a giant! This gorgeously detailed and scientifically accurate reconstruction shows what a baby T. rex of ~6 to 8 months of age would have looked like. The skeleton was painstakingly crafted based on dinsosaur growth rates and theoretical projections, and is our most accurate representation to date of a T. rex in this age bracket. The adorable 50 inch long skeleton, nicknamed “Snarly”, shows this fearsome predator an age not commonly depicted, and would be impressive if displayed next to a skull of an adult T. rex. Or, try adding it as an unfortunate food item for another predator such as Dakotaraptor!
