Investigation into the Presence of
Purported Lineage Continuity in Australasia

In Physical Anthropology, a great debate has raged between the Recent Africa Origin theory and Multiregional Continuity. In relevance to this debate, extracts from Peter Ferdinando’s M.A. thesis are presented that attempt to elucidate the possible process of the populating of Australasia. In addition, interpretations of these two theories, along with some lesser-known interpretations are presented.
