What is Anthropology?
At its most basic level, the study of Anthropology is the examination of all aspects of humanity. It is the scientific consideration of our past, present, and in some cases even our species’ very future.

Anthropology is divided into several distinct,
but overlapping sub-fields:

Archaeology
The study of humanity’s past through material remains.

Physical Anthropology
The study of humanity through biological remains.

Cultural Anthropology
The study of humanity’s culture, both past and present.

Focus on Forensic Anthropology
Forensic Anthropology is the application of Physical Anthropological techniques to the solving of criminal cases. This section is a beginners guide to this discipline, which is image intensive.

Practical Hints for the Archaeologist
by Bernie Powell
This section presents an interesting series of tips about a variety of aspects within Archaeology. Keep checking back, a new one will be uploaded every week
