Anthrpological Holdings

The museum houses a variety of different collections that encompass the entire spectrum of Anthropology. These items are essential for the study of all of humanity. The museum is dedicated to the examination of all aspects of Anthropology, from the ancient cities found in Archaeology, to the study of human evolution in Physical Anthropology.

South Florida Archaeological Collection

The South Florida Archaeological Collection consists of 900 boxes of archaeological material excavated throughout South Florida from 1959 until the present. This collection is the predominate study and research assortment for South Florida Pre-Contact Native Americans. Even with numerous research pieces written on this collection, current investigate is still finding amazing facts about the Tequesta Indians of South Florida.

David E. Crawley Neanderthal Collection

The David E. Crawley Neanderthal Collection consists of a number of high-quality replica skulls and several other pieces that directly influence research into this extinct Hominin species. This material showcases the history of the Neanderthal species and reveals the ‘Accretion Model’ of Neanderthal evolution in action. This collection includes:
