Currently a student at Broward County Community College Robert
plans to major in anthropology and in 2006 completed Florida
Atlantic University's archaeology field school in Salongo,
Ecuador. Rather than returning home with the other students
upon completion of the course, he opted to conduct a one man
expedition to visit the Jivaro of Ecuador's Amazon jungle.
The Jivaro, also known as the Shuar, formerly enjoyed a reputation
for headhunting that kept them safe for centuries from outside
incursions.
In addition to consorting with headhunters,
Robert has been active in Renaissance, Seminole and Civil
War reenactment Societies, manufactures his own medieval armor,
and is an experienced archaeological field technician.
