Boca
Raton native and geology major at Florida Atlantic University,
Robert has been all over the world searching for and collecting
the remains of dinosaurs that once roamed the earth. He began
his work with dinosaurs in 1995 when he was associated with
the museum at the University of Florida in Gainesville and continued
his to develop his knowledge through study at the Denver Museum
of Natural History where John Gurche taught him how to sculpt
and reconstruct skeletal creatures. Though he's entering his
junior year at FAU, he has worked for several additional universities
and museums and led two expeditions to Costa Rica. In Montana,
he excavated a duckbilled dinosaur that he is in the process
of reassembling and mounting. Most recently, he has concentrated
his efforts on leading expeditions to South Dakota's Hell Creek
Formation, discovering and excavating an adult Triceratops in
2003 and a juvenile of the same species in 2005. After graduation
from FAU, where he is also currently president of the Geology
Club and liaison between the museum and faculty; Robert plans
to continue doing research including studies of dinosaur embryos
and working on a master's degree.
